Obituary for William Clyde Gardner

William Clyde  Gardner
William Clyde Gardner (Papaw B), age 87 of 63 Gardner Dr. went to be with the Lord, January 24, 2017. He was a native of Madison County and the son of the late Kenneth and Ollie Ponder Gardner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Marie Gardner. Mr. Gardner was a US Army Veteran. He served several positions in Middle Fork Baptist Church as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Superintendent and Treasurer. He loved the Lord and always stood for what was right. He also loved camping and spending time with his family.
Mr. Gardner is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beatrice Loven Gardner; two grandsons, Brian Mace (April), Andy Mace (Suzy); and three great grandchildren, Alex, Brianna and Jack Mace.
The family will receive friends 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday, January 27, 2017 at Middle Fork Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm in the church with Reverends Stanley Peek, Homer Tweed and Nelson Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Ray Cemetery.
